A proposal for "Brutalist Facelift" connected to the ongoing architectural vision competition: "Ghost Town Challenge". Within Karosta's urban scape, a particular way to restore the lost vitality of the "brutalist apartment buildings by acting directly upon them.

 

 

the repetition of the same item on all the elevation keeps in mind the history of the place.

the variation is introduced through the use of the triangular shape that allows an animated perspective although the facade view is perfectly ordered and repetitive.

the color distribution on the translucent panels makes each opening unique through both the generated spaces between them and the color projection of the sunlight on the building.

 

evenness and uniqueness are both defining the building
